Dowit is a social startup whose mission is to support local craftsmanship by presenting individuals with a new leisure offer focused on learning, immersion and sharing.

We would look for Tunisian craftsmen, safekeepers of ancestral know-how, and present them with the opportunity to share their skills and techniques, often overlooked in their profession, with craftsmanship lovers and enthusiasts through practical workshops. Thus, curious people wishing to discover the techniques of the craft but also to experience it under the supervision of a professional and create a souvenir they can take home with them.

Dowit aims to make crafts more immersive, participative, and digital, by offering ready-to-experiment workshops with artisans. It is more than a simple archive of know-how. We designed it as a tool to help preserve history, transmit knowledge and inspire a new generation of craftsmen to be proud of their craft. The platform presents artisans and craftsmen of all ages. Their career path must be financially viable, workshops and demonstrations must become a stable source of income for artisans.

Our objective is to offer a communication relay and an additional source of income to our craftsmen, to highlight skills sometimes lacking visibility, to reweave a social bond between two targets who rarely have the opportunity to meet and by doing so, to maintain the human values ​​of sharing and exchange which are at the center of the concept of craftsmanship.
